Last Thursday, July 21, we hung out at the most creative and unique wedding show we’ve ever seen! Indie Wed is a bridal expo and market offering a non-traditional one stop shop for all of your wedding needs from artisans and professionals around the Midwest. Whether you are a small independent business or a couple looking for that special addition to make your wedding uniquely you, Indie Wed lends a hand in networking you to the right person.

Indie Wed took place at the hip event space, the Aérée Loft at Room1520. In each room, various booths displayed their wedding wares. Thankfully, we were right next to Truffle Truffle who had some delicious truffles to share! We loved their twist on the sweet and salty combo, the beer & pretzel truffle. On our other side was Vavoom Pinups, a great idea for a groom’s gift! Sexy lingerie is a must for any newlywed (and anyone, even after years of marriage )! Dottie’s Delights offers pin-up girl seductive lingerie that would make any moment screen siren sexy. If you don’t want to spend the bachelorette party bar hopping, what about a spa night? Head 2 Toe Mobile Spa was painting the nails of all attendees right across from our table.

We talked to so many wonderful people that it was hard to keep count! Michele Rose stopped by our table and introduced herself. She officiates and creates ceremonies to celebrate your special moment. We gushed over Kelsey’s designs for Annie Jane Bridal. Even if you are not celebrating a future wedding, accessories by 1154 Lill Studio and jewelry from Chikahisa Studio complement any outfit. We enjoyed the delicious offerings from Clandestino Dining and City Provisions and would love to eat them on the chic, vintage rental dinnerware from Plate. After tasting the S’more Whoopie Pie from Bleeding Heart Bakery, we were sold on this local bakery.
